The makers of the film God’s Not Dead have done it again. My husband and I went to see Do You Believe? What an awesome movie! The story was very well written and the actors were wonderful. If it doesn’t inspire you to have more faith in God, you are missing the boat. It was a great example of how we can be clueless as to God’s plan for our lives and why He allows even bad things to happen to us.
Isaiah 55:8-9 says: “My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything that you can imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thought higher than your thoughts.”
The film exemplified this verse in the way twelve people’s lives were intertwined and affected by actions taken by those they didn’t even know. God took horrible circumstances and turned them into something good. The message that God still works miracles was clear. Kudos to the producer, director, and crew. It takes a big leap of faith to make such a movie in this day and age when all the powers that be, and especially the media, are trying to take Christ out of the equation in the United States. Our founding fathers embraced the Bible and its teachings and the further away we get from those Biblical truths the worse off our country is.
Please go and see the movie and give it a good review. The people who rail against Christianity won’t hesitate to write bad reviews. As Christians we need to get fully behind movies like this. If we fill the theater seats it will send a message that movies like these are important and can make a difference.
