One month from today I will be celebrating my 56th birthday. Why is it that 56 sounds so much older than 55? At any rate, I’m celebrating with the launch of my new and improved website. Jeremy James of Write Click Media is a fabulous web designer and authors are his specialty. After all, he’s an author himself. I met Jeremy at the Southern California Writers Conference years ago, but I wasn’t ready to invest fully in myself as a writer. That was then and this is now.
A lot of exciting things have happened this year and there is so much to celebrate. I re-released Miracles and Grace with its new title Born Again in a Biker Bar, and its new catchy cover in May. Inspired by my book’s new look, I decided that it was time to take the plunge and invest in a new website. I’d begun the process of setting up my new site with Jeremy when I received notification that my memoir won the Living Now Book Awards Bronze Medal in the Inspirational Memoir-Female category. The purpose of the Living Now Book Awards is to celebrate the innovation and creativity of books that enhance the quality of life. I wrote my memoir to help codependents find the peace and joy I’m now experiencing, so being recognized with the award was very gratifying.
On my new site I will not only be blogging and keeping you up to date on my books, but I’ll also be offering codependency coaching. When struggling with a really difficult situation someone who has faced the same problem is best equipped to help you. Someone that has ventured through the same rough terrain and lived to tell about it can be a great source of support. I know firsthand the pain and misery codependency causes. I know what it feels like to love someone dearly who breaks your heart or makes you so angry you can’t see straight on a regular basis. Thankfully, I also know how great life can be once you stop letting your dysfunction and your emotions run your life. I have learned to let go and let God and I have experienced the amazing rewards that come with that. I look forward to helping others who face the same struggles.
With thirty days until the launch my goal is to get 200 new subscribers. I really appreciate all of my wonderful Facebook subscribers and Twitter followers, and I’d like to be sure that you are the first ones to see my new website. So please hit the subscribe button. I won’t bother you with spam and I hope to entertain and enlighten you.
God bless, Charisse Tyson
